CLOSED BETA NOTICE: RideSync is currently in a "Closed Beta" testing phase. By participating in this program, you acknowledge that we may collect additional diagnostic data, including crash logs and performance metrics, to improve the stability of our platform.

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") is an electronic record in the form of an electronic contract formed under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder. This Policy does not require any physical, electronic, or digital signature.

Tensor Corp LLP ("RideSync", "Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a Limited Liability Partnership incorporated under the laws of India, values your trust and is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use our mobile application ("App") and related services.

1. Scope and Consent

By downloading, accessing, or using RideSync, you expressly consent to the collection, use, disclosure, and storage of your information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Platform. This Policy complies with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPDI Rules").

2. Information We Collect

We collect strictly necessary information to facilitate ride aggregation services, ensure safety, and comply with legal obligations.

2.1. Personal Information You Provide

Identity Data: Full Name, Mobile Phone Number, and Email Address. This is required to create your account and for KYC compliance.
Profile Data: Gender (optional) and Profile Picture.
Emergency Contacts: The name and phone number of trusted individuals you choose to share your ride status with.

2.2. Information We Collect Automatically

Geo-Spatial Location Data:
- Foreground Location: We collect your precise location when the App is open to identify pickup points and match you with nearby Driver-Partners.
- Background Location: With your explicit permission, we track your location when the App is in the background (during a ride) to enable "Live Safety Tracking" and "Share My Ride" features. This is a safety requirement under the Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines.
Device Information: We collect specific device identifiers, including IP Address, IMEI/UUID, Operating System version, and mobile network information. This collection is mandated by CERT-In Directions (2022) for cyber security auditing.
Usage and Crash Logs: As part of the Beta program, we collect system logs, error reports, and usage patterns to debug software defects.

2.3. Sensitive Personal Data or Information (SPDI)

We do not directly store your credit card or banking passwords. All financial information is processed by PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways. However, strictly for the purpose of the SPDI Rules, any password you create for your RideSync account is treated as SPDI and is stored using industry-standard encryption (hashing).

3. Purpose of Collection and Use

We use the collected information for the following specific purposes:

4. Disclosure and Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We disclose information only as follows:

4.1. With Driver-Partners

To facilitate your ride, we share your First Name, Pickup Location, and Drop Location with the Driver-Partner. Your actual phone number is masked via a virtual number masking service whenever technically feasible.

4.2. With Law Enforcement (Government)

We may disclose your information (including Location History and IP Logs) to government agencies mandated under the law to obtain information for the purpose of verification of identity, or for prevention, detection, investigation including cyber incidents, prosecution, and punishment of offences, as required under Section 69 of the IT Act, 2000.

4.3. Third-Party Processors

We engage third-party vendors for map services (e.g., Google Maps), cloud hosting (e.g., AWS/Azure), and SMS delivery. These parties are contractually bound to confidentiality and may not use your data for independent purposes.

5. Data Retention Policy

We retain data for periods necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy or as required by law:

Driver Contact Details: Retained and accessible to you for 7 days post-ride for grievance redressal (per Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines).
System & Access Logs: Retained for a rolling period of 180 days within India (per CERT-In Directions 2022).
Trip History: Retained for a minimum of 3 years for tax audits and legal dispute resolution.

7. Security Practices

We have implemented reasonable security practices and procedures comprising of managerial, technical, operational, and physical security control measures to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2+). However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
